GROUND-BREAKING NEWS: an exciting new Aztec adventure is coming to town…
This major construction project will see the creation of an outdoor Aztec themed 18-hole adventure golf and high-rope centre at The Valley, Evesham. This popular destination features 25 shops, a fabulous garden centre and four eateries with free parking set in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside… and will soon be home to one of the biggest outdoor adventure attractions in the area!
We have now “hit the ground running” and it’s all systems go with our giant machines in motion to completely overhaul the space… where we’ll officially bring the project to life and set it ready to launch early in 2023.
The leisure facility will be fully constructed by the Greenspan Projects team and run by Worcester-based leisure operator Aztec Adventure, who recently launched the Evesham Leisure Centre climbing facility and run successful centres in Upton Warren and Lower Moor. The facility will combine a high rope course above the adventure golf course and climax in a zip wire from the zenith of the high ropes.
Without giving too much of the design concept away, visitors can expect a real escape from reality as they take on the action-packed challenges that await on the course – with a few surprises along the way. This vast space is perfect for spending time in the great outdoors, against the backdrop of a picturesque countryside where fresh air and photo opportunities are abundant! The Valley is also home to a few other attractions that can allow visitors to enjoy a break from the screens and sitting indoors… including fishing, an outdoor adventure play castle and The Evesham Vale Light Railway, transporting passengers through the idyllic countryside.
Greenspan were delighted to be chosen to enhance the leisure offering for The Valley even further. The Valley welcomes over 1.3 million annual visitors, of which 1.1 million travel from outside of the Evesham catchment from areas such as South Birmingham, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.
The development was welcomed by Tom Tarver, Chairman of newly established group, Evesham Place Board, who said “We welcome this significant investment into the local community from The Valley and Aztec Adventure. The project will not only provide new jobs, but will increase inbound visitors from outside Evesham and Wychavon, which will benefit the town and the community as a whole”.
