West Lodge Farm Park Outdoor Adventure Play

West Lodge Farm Park is an award winning venue, which has been voted the Best Family Attraction in various public competitions.

This friendly, family-owned business allows for children and adults of all ages to enjoy a hands on experience of farm and country life, where there are so many opportunities to explore the whole farm; the livestock, the walks and nature trails, the fields, the streams and the machinery.

With an extensive visitor offering from nature trails, pony rides and ride on tractors, to barrel rides and sheep racing… there is plenty to see and do at West Lodge Farm Park. However, the family saw an opportunity to enhance the existing large focal area of the farm, which meant an overhaul of the existing outdoor play area.

The original idea was to create an adventure play area that could cater for children of all ages… so this required some thinking “outside of the box” for something unique and fun to capture minds and imaginations! So, our team got to work and presented the fabulous team at West Lodge with a play concept that would provide challenging climbs, giant slides and rope nets to clamber upon for the bigger children… and dedicated sand pits with sensory play and smaller climbing equipment for the littler visitors. The idea was to also include something that that whole family could enjoy together… so the retro 5 seater swing is a must!

Since opening in 2022, the outdoor play has been a huge hit for the farm park. West Lodge work hard to maintain their exceptionally high standards and ensure the farm is well looked after, and kept immaculate by adhering to The Countryside Code. Therefore, ensuring the right amenities surrounding the outdoor play was of high importance – as well as the health and safety of all visitors.
