An adventure that transports you back in time, deep into the life of 18th century smugglers: This 18-hole adventure golf course boasts a host of fun features. On your journey around the blue shimmering lake you will encounter beaches littered with loot, gloomy caves, treacherous bridges and the odd smuggler stowed away in his jolly boat.

See how we transformed an underused public space into a stunning adventure golf course, right next to Bournemouth Beach.

Bournemouth Council chose Greenspan to develop a concept, for a uniquely themed adventure golf, based on the history of smuggling in Bournemouth.

We undertook a challenging detail design process, and turnkey installation which included a lake, large waterfall feature, bespoke structures, themed obstacles and the use of a specialist lightweight aggregate to build up the golf holes, due to weight loading restrictions.

Greenspan were able to use a huge variety of materials, including reclaimed groyne timbers provided by the council, to achieve a fantastic outcome for the client which was a success from the minute it opened!
