Technically challenging: Extreme topography with artificial surfaces 

Adding complexity to the project Mad Swans requested dramatically elevated bunds and humps surrounding each hole in some cases exceeding one metre in height, which whilst not unusual, created a sophisticated technical challenge that required reimagining traditional mini golf course design. 

Creating dramatic topography with natural turf would be reasonably straightforward, but achieving the same visual impact and playability with artificial grass demanded all of Greenspan’s in-house expertise, requiring fundamental design considerations from the earliest planning stages, carefully balancing the client’s bold aesthetic vision with the practical limitations of artificial grass systems.
