Branston Golf & Country Club Adventure Golf

Branston Golf & Country Club is an award-winning, privately owned golf, health and fitness club with spa facilities.

Located in scenic Staffordshire, UK, this friendly, family focussed venue boasts a state of the art Driving Range, 9-hole Academy Course and 18-hole Championship Course… as well as wedding amenities,  The Clubhouse Bar and Restaurant, corporate event hire and, of course, a full health and fitness dedicated suite.

The company identified an opportunity to create more of a family-focused activity to add to their existing offering, to enable golf to be a much more inclusive sport for visitors of all ages. Utilising existing space in their stunning woodland area, the company arranged a site visit from the Greenspan Projects team to assess the feasibility of an outdoor adventure golf build.

Our in-house design team and the project management team were in total agreement with Branston Golf & Country Club on their idea to ensure the theme was in keeping with the surrounding areas… so a woodland theme was born. Using sustainably sourced materials and creating bespoke wooden sculptures to adorn the course was important, too… plus the use of a tranquil stream throughout… and a pull-through water raft for that extra immersive experience, challenge and fun!

The course itself features 18 unique holes that meander through the trees, allowing for a real “back to nature” experience. Plus, in keeping with the ‘Woodland’ theme, Branston have planted more trees and added bird boxes and bug hotels to encourage wildlife in the area to thrive!

Since opening, the adventure golf course has been immensely popular with visitors of all ages. Below is some of the feedback taken recently from Tripadvisor…

Greenspan Projects have loved being part of this key renovation for Branston Golf & Country Club. From concept to completion, it has been a fantastic journey and we have enjoyed hearing the feedback… especially from those new to the game of golf!
